Prepareing for Vacation: Summer Eddition

Hi Beauties!  These next upcoming months I will be doing a lot of traveling, so I decided I would share with you guys what I do to make those dreaded airport travel days less stressful. I start out by making a list of the items that will be going in my checked bag, carry-on, personal bag, etc.  I have created a packing list with ideas of items to pack (I will have it attached at the end).  Creating packing lists helps to not forget anything you may need on your trip.  I remember having to go a whole week without a hair brush and had to improvise with a little comb the hotel gave me.  I will always take my packing list with me for when I pack up at the end of the trip so I know I won't be leaving anything behind.
When it comes to choosing the outfit I will be traveling, I like to look nice but also be comfortable at the same time.  Usually I will opt for the leggings/flowy shirt/sweater/converse type of outfit, but you dress however you want to. For makeup, I do my regular makeup routine. And for hair I usually put it in a french braid and pop on a hat.
I will link my past travel related posts below as well as my packing list.

Posie K Lip Kit Dupes

Hi Beauties! Kylie Lip Kits are all the rage right now and because of this, it seems nearly impossible

to get your hands of any of them! I have tried multiple times but they all sell out so quickly! I did

some research and found the closest color dupes for Posie K.  Also keep in mind that the price of the

dupes compared to the actual Lip Kit will vary.  Matte Kylie Lip Kits are $29 on the KylieCosmetics

website.

7 Checked Bag Packing Tips

Checked baggage is very convenient for long trips, as you are going to need to pack more with you.  Here are some of my tips and tricks for preparing and packing your checked baggage.

1.  If you are getting a new suitcase, I suggest getting a bright color, or fun pattern to help you identify your bag quickly in baggage claim.

2.  To prevent your suitcase from popping open all over, buy a luggage strap to help insure that your suitcase will not pop open.

3. When packing liquids, untwist the top of the bottle and place a piece of plastic wrap on the top of the bottle, then twist the cap back on.  This will help to put an extra seal on the bottle.

4. Roll your clothes instead of folding them.  This will help prevent wrinkling, and it saves space too!

5. Plan your outfits ahead of time.  Doing so helps me from over-packing.  I like to lay out the outfits on my bed, and take pictures of them on my phone, then I pack the outfits together in my suitcase.  I usually don't plan out what I'm wearing each day, but just plan out the number of outfits needed for the amount of time I'm gone for.

6.  Make sure to leave room for any additional things you might buy on your trip so you don't have to worry about fitting them somewhere when its time to leave.

7.  Finally and most importantly: do not put your laptop, chargers, or anything very important to you in your checked baggage because it could get lost and or damaged.

Happy Traveling,

5 Ways to book the cheapest flight online

Everyone always want to get the best deal when booking airline tickets.  Here are a few tips on getting the best bang for your buck:

1.  Start shopping early, but don't always buy early.  Airlines will usually release the cheapest seats 4 months in advance (5 months for international flights)

2. Have flexible arrival and departure dates.

3.  Sundays are usually the most expensive days to fly.

4. Ticket prices can change up to 3 times per day.  Some websites offer email alerts for price changes.

5. Most discount ticket sales are held in the beginning of the week.
